It takes a considerable amount of talent to produce the different genres of music that you do, from bluegrass to upbeat, almost dance tracks. I have never had the pleasure of seeing you live. Perhaps one day I will. Now that I've discovered your website, I'll keep checking. Bruce's Reply:

Quick question, is that pretty much the same intro you confused Howard Stern With? I definately don't think he could play that!!! Anyways, thank you and Patti for arranging the backstage passes for me and my wife, What a birthday present!!!!! I hope to see you in the West Michigan Area soon!
Next time you come thru, give us a buzz, we'll hook you and the noisemakers or kentucky thunder up with a Grand Rapids tradition; some sloppy yesterdogs!!! (gotta try...awesome) Anyways, God bless, I'll remember your advice, and keep inspiring.
thank you Bruce's Reply:

My bother and I have had the great fortune to dance on your stage several times. I've recently reconnected with the friend that told me about you, we'd love to dance again, life is short, when are you coming to the San Jose, Bay Area? Please?

Date: 05-08-2008 04:29:36 PM Posted by: Christine Desiree | Hi, Bruce. My name is Christine Desiree Laurore. I am a fan of yours. I am a songwriter. I have been told that my material is number hit quality by industry professionals. I need someone like you to listen to my work and help me. My goals is to have artists sing my music and I have no idea where to start. I have written over 3,000 songs and they keep coming. My genre is soft rock, pop, rock, contemporary Christian, Gospel and Country. So I write it all. In am not a writer. Songs just come and basically I record them. I have been doing this since the age of 9 and I didnt know I was a songwriter.
Please advise. I would love to hear from you.
Much Respect,
Christine Desiree, Tulsa Bruce's Reply:

I'm looking forward to seeing you and Ricky in Madison in October at The Overture Center. I am playing across the street that weekend-Friday and Saturday (coming up from Chicago)at the Ivory Room Piano Bar (a slightly smaller venue); I'm coming up that Thursday to see you guys.
1) Have you been to Madison before? (great city)
2) When you have played Biltmore, do you play on the big open veranda just adjacent to the house?
3) I have a great great grandfather, David L. Crawford who was in the 139th Pennsylvania Regiment. Do you have any relatives that fought in the Civil War?
Cheers,

what are your thoughts on the song, Another Day, at this point. I don't often see it in the setlist. I always thought the tune opened itself up for jamming and possible segues into other songs. I also liked the lyrics. Bruce's Reply:

Date: 05-07-2008 11:36:03 AM Posted by: J.T. | Mr. Hornsby, I'm a huge fan, have been since I was twelve and I learned every single note in "Mandolin Rain" when I was still taking classical piano. I'm playing/singing a solo piano ballad version of "I Will Walk With You" at my high school graduation. I absolutely love that song (music and lyrics), and I think it works well as a ballad too. I was also asked to play the Dead classic "Black Muddy River" for a teacher who is leaving and is an extreme Deadhead. Any tips on how I should play it? Thanks! See you and Ricky in Telluride!
