Bruce and his band hit the road this week to kick off their summer tour. Joining the Noisemakers line-up this summer are new members Chad Wright (drums) and John Mailander (fiddle/mandolin). We couldn't be more excited to welcome them to the family. The band is already in fine form coming off *FIVE* sold out nights in May at City Winery in Nashville and New York City where they debuted a few new songs and worked their way through Bruce's storied catalog. As always, the audience's requests took the band in some interesting and unexpected places.
Among the highlights this summer is the return to Funhouse Fest, Bruce's annual multi-day event in Colonial Williamsburg produced in partnership with the Virginia Arts Festival. Funhouse Fest takes place June 22nd and 23rd and once again features a diverse line-up curated by Bruce. Friday night will feature Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers and 27-time Grammy Award winner Alison Krauss, plus a special performance by the Virginia Symphony String Quartet on the second stage. On Saturday, Bruce will team with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra for the Virginia debut of Bruce's new symphonic program which explores some of his most timeless compositions and newer works. Amos Lee, The Wood Brothers and Deva Mahal are among the other featured main stage artists on Saturday while Chris Forsyth, Gibb Droll and Angela on the Arts (featuring John D'earth) will perform on the festival's second stage. Tickets, including VIP & Elite Experience options, for Funhouse Fest are on-sale now at FunhouseFest.com. It's a weekend not to be missed!
In addition to Funhouse Fest, other highlights include a handful of performances with The Wood Brothers and a run of dates in the Northeast with Los Lobos. See the tour dates page for all of Bruce's upcoming dates and links for ticket purchase. We hope to see you out on the road this summer!
